Small update about my program over the next weeks. First of all my one way flight for Auckland is scheduled on the 31. October and that’s in less than 2 months. After returning from a surprise city trip to the nice capital of Serbia, Belgrad, I am planning to bike a path in the northern part of France. It is called the Francette and stretches from Caen to la Rochelle. It will took place during the month of October.
But I also need to plane a little more my Te Araroa through hike. I already created a planning of the trail that I will update as soon as the new trail notes are out. In it one can find what and how long I will hike each day. Additional information such as resupply places, how much food to carry and where to send care packages containing replacement gear and food for remote section (especially in the south island).
Further on I need to register and test my SpotGen3 device (GPS sender), print the maps of both islands, book accomodations and transportation to Cape Reinga. This contains also all things to do once in New Zealand.
And finally I need to officially get out of Switzerland. This means quite a lot of paperwork to do.
Hopefully I will find some free days to do a few beer hikes and the end of the JCT traverse.
See you on trail 🙂
