After a last breakfast on the trail I head up to the Terminus of this Island. A few ups and downs in two parks other some hills later, I cross the botanical garden before arriving in the Wellington city center. The black and white arrows and orange markers made room for some brass plates installed in the walkway of the city. I cross the CBD and then go up again one last to Mount Victoria then to mount Alfred and mount Albert. The trail then goes down to Island bay where the trail officially ends on this island. I am happy to hit the end and treat myself with some triple chocolate chip ice cream. It is a nice feeling to be done 🙂
