For once I will have to start late. Because the low tide for the estuary crossing was at 16h00 I had to wait in camp before setting of at 15h00. With the good explanation from the Stillwater motor camp owner , the crossing went well. Then followed some rock hopping and beach walking before hitting the first Auckland suburbs. With a lot of switching before residential district and beaches I reached Devonport in the late evening. Night hiking was fun but I still had to be careful as to where I was hiking. Finally I crossed the port with the 23:15 ferry and found a bed in a hostel in downtown Auckland. Long but great day.
