Today is wadding day! After a late start in order to get to the first estuary at low tide, I hiked slowly under the hot sun. The first crossing was easier than planned thanks to the good marking of the trail. Then came a few kilometers of road walk to get to Pataura. Soon after crossing the footbridge was the second estuary crossing on the program. This time much longer for 3 kilometers. I even saw a few ray fishes. It was great. After getting out of the water I cleaned my sandals and then ascended mount Kauri.
Finally I went down to the ocean Beach before walking on it to reach Jagger’s camp. Another great day.
