The weather wasn’t the best near the Rakaia River but it go better soon as I walked up the mountain. The shuttle left us at 13:30 at the trail after Wayne picked us up in Methven. The track goes straight up to the saddle before getting easily down pass A Frame hut where I had a break and then finished at Comyns hut. I arrived there early and so I enjoyed a wash in the river and rested in the hut.
