Cold morning today. After the rain of last day, the higher part of the mountains were all white and the first 15 minutes of the day were the coldest. But as soon as I walked in the sun it was way much better. The landscapes through the day were fantastic. The view of lake Emily was breathtaking. After an hour of road walk the track goes through a valley to the Rangitata River when I arrived there I chose not to cross the river because of the recent rain falls.
