Want some river crossings ? Today starts by basically walking up the Hakatere river. There are no track so you just walk the river. After numerous crossings the track goes up to Clint hills saddle and opens up to magnificent views. The Rocky mountain around me are impressive. I have lunch at the saddle before heading down to the valley. The track is nice but I still managed to almost roll my ankle. Fortunately it was not too bad. Then the rain starts to come down as I arrive on the plain. The last 8km will be under the rain. I finally get to Manuka hut where I am right now resting and waiting for the weather to improve.
